Finance Officer

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in traditional accounting practices while also understanding the unique challenges of cryptocurrency transactions. Key responsibilities include:

1- Financial Recording and Reporting

• Accurately record all digital assets and fiat currency transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, trades, and fees.
• Ensure proper revenue recognition from trading fees, commissions, and other income streams.
• Prepare and maintain financial statements, reconciling digital assets and liabilities with internal and external systems.

2- Regulatory Compliance and Reporting

• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, prepare tax returns, and manage reporting for capital gains and other crypto-related tax requirements.
• Collaborate with compliance teams to meet Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) obligations.
• Assist with audit preparation and respond to regulatory inquiries, maintaining transparent and accurate records.

3- Cost Management and Analysis

• Track and analyze operational expenses, optimizing cost management.
• Conduct profit and loss analysis, reviewing trading volumes and fee structures to assess profitability.

4- Tax and VAT Reporting

• Handle complex tax implications of crypto transactions, ensuring compliance with international and local tax laws.
• Prepare and submit VAT reports as required, and assist in understanding corporate income tax for crypto activities.

5- Technology Integration and Reporting

• Collaborate with tech teams to integrate financial systems with the exchange’s trading platform.
• Provide data-driven insights to management, supporting strategic decision-making and forecasting.

Qualifications:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a plus.
• 1+ years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for experience in the cryptocurrency or fintech sector (VASP companies).
• In-depth understanding of international accounting standards and cryptocurrency regulations.
• Familiarity with blockchain technology and the crypto market landscape
• Proficient in accounting software
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
