API Management Specialist(IBM API Connect and IBM DataPower)

We have an urgent requirement for API Management Specialist(IBM API Connect and IBM DataPower) – Banking Domain experience is required for one of our banking client in Oman
Design, develop and publish APIs (as API products) in the bank’s API Management platform built using IBM API Connect, IBM DataPower software solutions. Must
Design and development of API & Integration solutions using IBM API Connect product (mandatory)--Must
Hands-on experience in design and configuration using IBM DataPower (mandatory)---Must
Extensive knowledge and experience in API (RESTful) and Web Services (SOAP) design, development and testing--Must
Experience in Open API and Open Banking solution development will be a strong advantage
Main Role(Accountability)
Responsible for the design, development, configuration and support for Bank’s API Management platform in liaison with business stakeholders and various IT teams. Key responsibilities of this position are given below
▪ Design, develop and publish APIs (as API products) in the bank’s API Management platform built using IBM API Connect, IBM DataPower software solutions.
▪ Contribute in the full lifecycle of API in alignment with the bank’s standards, compliance and security requirements.
▪ Provide technical support for bank’s institutional customers and fintech's to consume the business APIs – as part of the customer onboarding journey in the API marketplace.
▪ Provide technical support for all projects involving APIs; this includes, configuration fixes, code fixes, end-to-end testing support, user acceptance testing, performance and security testing support.
▪ Perform all required monitoring activities for the supported systems, including operation of utilities to support customer system and data implementations.
▪ Responsible for maintenance and emergency response outside of normal business hours as necessary during production implementations, customer issues, system upgrades, etc.
▪ Responsible for issue resolution & support in RCA analysis for incidents. Follow proper escalation processes to meet or exceed target resolution timeframes. Responsible for
involving resources outside of IT when necessary to resolve
▪ Must adhere to all standards & processes defined in the team for project delivery, peer review, security, incident & problem management.
▪ Must ensure that appropriate corrective and preventive actions are undertaken and resolve problems as soon as they arise.
▪ Must contribute ideas to help the support team to become more effective and seek ideas from other team members.
▪ Implement and manage security processes (both technical and procedural) to ensure uninterrupted operations and to comply with Bank and data privacy policies.
Qualifications & Experience
▪ Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in design and development of API & Integration solutions using IBM API Connect product (mandatory)
▪ Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in design and configuration using IBM DataPower (mandatory)
▪ Hands-on experience in IBM App Connect development is desired
▪ Extensive knowledge and experience in API (RESTful) and Web Services (SOAP) design, development and testing
▪ Experience in Open API and Open Banking solution development will be a strong advantage

- Professional Certification on IBM API Connect
- Desired
- Professional Certification on IBM DataPower
- Professional Certification on IBM App Connect Enterprise
- Professional Certification on IBM MQ
- Other relevant technology professional certifications
