Job Title: AI Engineer

We are looking for a skilled AI Engineer to help develop, optimize, and integrate AI-driven capabilities. This role will involve working on core AI features, enhancing model performance, optimizing LLM-based workflows, and ensuring scalability and efficiency of AI deployments. You will report to our Lead AI Strategist, collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and engineering, to drive innovation and deliver cutting-edge AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• AI Model Development & Optimization: Design, fine-tune, and deploy machine learning and LLM-based models for NLP, generative AI, and automation features within Studio AI and Navigator.
• AI Infrastructure & Deployment: Implement scalable AI pipelines using cloud-based solutions, leveraging Azure ML, Kubernetes, and distributed computing.
• Integration & Orchestration: Work with APIs and frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, MS Graph API, and Copilot Studio to integrate AI-driven workflows into existing client systems.
• Vector Search & Knowledge Management: Develop and enhance retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) models using vector databases like Milvus to optimize AI responses based on Lenovo’s knowledge base.
• Real-Time AI Processing: Implement efficient architectures for real-time data processing and inferencing using microservices and API-driven AI solutions.
• Performance & Scalability Optimization: Continuously monitor and refine AI models to improve accuracy, speed, and cost efficiency in enterprise-scale deployments.
• Collaboration & Innovation: Work closely with the AI Strategist, software engineers, and UX teams to ensure AI solutions align with business objectives and deliver intuitive, impactful experiences.
• Compliance & Responsible AI Practices: Ensure AI solutions adhere to Lenovo’s Responsible
• AI governance framework, focusing on ethical AI practices, bias mitigation, and transparency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5-10 years of experience in AI/ML development, with hands-on expertise in building and deploying machine learning models.
• Proficiency in AI frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face Transformers, and OpenAI APIs.
• Experience with LLMs, NLP, and multimodal AI systems.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with API-driven AI development.
• Hands-on experience with Azure AI/ML services and Kubernetes for scalable AI deployments.
• Familiarity with LangChain and LlamaIndex for LLM application development.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture, API management, and cloud-based AI infrastructure.
• Ability to debug, optimize, and refine AI pipelines to enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Strong ability to work within a cross-functional team, effectively communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience working with Milvus, Pinecone, or Weaviate for AI-driven knowledge retrieval.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, and enterprise AI governance models.
• Experience designing effective prompts for LLMs and working with prompt orchestration frameworks.
• Understanding of AI-powered user experiences, including chatbot design, AI-driven search, and recommendation systems.
• Experience with distributed computing, MLOps, and cost-efficient AI deployments.
