The Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer with a strong background in GoLang to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in building and maintaining robust, scalable, and efficient data pipelines and infrastructure. You will be instrumental in designing and implementing solutions that support our growing data needs and contribute to the overall data strategy of the company.
What You’ll do:
Mobile: Flutter with BLoC and freezed and the CI/CD is in place via GitHub Actions + fastlane
Backend: NestJS and MongoDB, Terraform to deploy on EKS
Frontend: NextJS + sass/tailwind + gsap, with CI/CD via Vercel

This role is crucial in building and maintaining robust, scalable, and efficient data pipelines and infrastructure. You will be instrumental in designing and implementing solutions that support our growing data needs and contribute to the overall data strategy of the company.
What You’ll do:
- Design, develop, and maintain highly performant and reliable data pipelines using GoLang.
- Build and optimize data models for various analytical and operational purposes.
- Implement and manage data storage solutions (e.g., relational databases, NoSQL databases, data warehouses).
- Develop and maintain APIs and microservices for data ingestion and consumption.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other engineering teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring data availability and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to architectural discussions, and mentor junior engineers.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in data engineering and GoLang.

What We’re Looking For:
- 7+ years of experience with strong proficiency in Golang, Java, node.js or C# with a proven track record of developing high-performance applications in production settings.
- Insightful experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, real-time processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark), and advanced knowledge of SQL and data architecture.
- Hands-on experience working with technologies like snowflake, Spark for data processing, ETLs for data pipelines and queueing systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- You have worked with time-series data and specialized databases: ClickHouse, TimescaleDB, etc.
- Experience with Core engineering infrastructure tools like Continuous Integration (githubactions + argoCD), containerization and Kubernetes
- Experience with IAC like Terraform, helm and cloudformation.
- 7+ years of experience with AWS (EKS, S3, Cloudfront, VPC, IAM, ALB/NLB, etc.)
- Experience developing, maintaining and debugging large-scale distributed systems
- Experience with monitoring tools: Sentry, Prometheus, and Grafana. With operational excellence and a deep understanding of metrics, alarms and dashboards.
- Uses a metrics driven approach and can make informed decisions using data
- Experience working in a startup environment that encourages trust and autonomy.
