Product Management Manager
ABB Drive Products serves the industries and infrastructure segments with world-class drives and programmable logic controllers (PLC). With its products, global scale and local presence, the Division helps customers to improve energy efficiency, productivity and safety.

Energy efficient motors and drive control play major role towards the net zero goals. We are now looking for an Application Engineer at ABB Oy, Drive Products division in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and maintain application software for drives including code development, documentation, testing and support. Development is often done in collaboration with the customers. You will be part of OEM hub team and co-operate with drives factory R&D. This is a global role and involves also traveling.
The work model for the role is: hybrid

Key Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining in-house application software for ABB drives (coding, documentation, testing and support)
- Working as a 2 person pair / team
- Developing OEM specific solutions together with local sales
- Developing solutions/concepts in collaboration with customers
- Documentation of the solution
- Onsite and after-sales support for dedicated OEMs
- Sharing solutions and application know-how within the global OEM community
- Programming skills (Python, C/C++, IEC61850) are essential
- Understanding physics, especially physics of motion is essential
- Relevant work experience 1-2 years, you will be trained on the job
- Understanding of the electrical design and ability to read schematics are beneficial
- Motion application knowhow and understanding of fieldbus technologies are beneficial
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- B.Sc. in engineering or a similar degree is essential
- You are fluent in English and Finnish, both written and spoken
