We are now looking for an

Expert, UI and Visual Design

to join the diverse group of design professionals in the global KONE Design team in Espoo, Finland (with remote working opportunities for two days a week).

Are you passionate about creating intuitive and visually compelling digital experiences?

We are looking for an Expert in UI & Visual Design to join our global team and help shape the future of our products through exceptional design and striking visual expression.

In this role, you’ll collaborate across functions, working closely with internal teams, customers, and end-users to shape the future of our digital tools and channels. You will play a key role in designing pixel-perfect experiences for KONE websites and digital products—both new and existing. The work includes hands-on design in projects, while also overseeing the visual expression of other digital products on a global scale. You’ll also contribute to strengthening UI and visual design capabilities at KONE in close collaboration with the Design System team.

You’ll thrive in this role if you

• Enjoy leading the design of intuitive, engaging, and visually stunning user experiences across digital platforms
• Can translate complex concepts into elegant visual solutions that align with brand identity and user needs
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other designers to define and implement innovative UX/UI solutions.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs for web and mobile applications
• Maintain and evolve design systems and visual guidelines to ensure consistency and scalability
• Have a proactive and structured approach to your work
• Are fluent in English
• Enjoy working in a team and building strong relationships with stakeholders
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio showcasing both user experience and visual design excellence
• Mastery of branding, visual design principles including typography, color theory, layout, and motion
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar
• Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and front-end development constraints
• Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly
• A passion for crafting beautiful, functional, and emotionally resonant digital experiences
• Familiarity with scaling Design Systems in complex environments
• Familiarity with AI in design
• Experience mentoring junior designers or leading design initiatives
