DevOps Engineer

My client is currently searching for a DevOps Engineer based in Germany, this is on a FREELANCE basis and is going to be an initial 6 month contract with high chance of extension.

Role: DevOps Engineer

Location: Germany (remote)

Rate: DOE

Length: 6 month - high chance of extension

The role focuses on automating infrastructure, building CI/CD pipelines, and supporting our cloud-based systems. We’re looking for someone with experience in tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform, and a passion for improving system reliability and delivery speed.

Key Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar systems engineering role
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python, or similar)
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools and version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Hands-on experience with containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Deep understanding of at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
• Good understanding of networking, firewalls, load balancing, and DNS
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems

Nice to have:

• English and German proficiency
• Experience working in a financial sector
