Senior Python & Django Developer (German-speaking) – Frankfurt – Permanent Role

We are seeking a Senior Python & Django Developer to join a dynamic team within a large enterprise project based in Frankfurt, Germany. The role is onsite, long-term, and permanent, offering a competitive market salary. You will work on technically sophisticated web applications and backend systems deployed on modern cloud infrastructure.

Your Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, high-performance web applications using Python and Django
• Develop backend systems, APIs, and services with a strong focus on code quality and documentation
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Docker, and OpenShift
• Create and manage infrastructure with Terraform within an AWS environment
• Collaborate in agile teams (Scrum, SAFe, or Kanban), participate in code reviews, and support project planning
• Conduct unit and end-to-end testing to ensure application robustness
• Write and maintain system and project documentation in both German and English

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Python development, especially backend APIs and services
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with the Django framework
• Experience with CI/CD, including pipeline setup and troubleshooting in GitLab
• Strong containerization expertise using Docker and OpenShift, ideally within AWS
• 3+ years of working with relational databases like PostgreSQL
• At least 2 project references using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• Experience in DevOps practices, including delivery automation and cloud operations
• Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, or Kanban)
• Fluency in German (B2 or higher) and English (B2 or higher)
