Senior/Lead Developer - PHP Laravel

Amsterdam - 4 Days per week in the office, 1 at home

€5700 - €6500 Per Month Gross

A product-led tech company based in Amsterdam working at the intersection of commerce and logistics. Our platform connects independent sellers and buyers across Europe through a mix of marketplace features, SaaS storefronts, and supply-chain integrations.

As we scale, we're looking for a Lead Developer to take technical ownership of our PHP-based systems. If you're excited about Laravel, Livewire, and building modular, scalable applications that power real-world transactions, this could be your next big move.

💼 What You'll Be Doing

• Architect and build major features in Laravel and Livewire
• Collaborate with product and design to create user-focused experiences
• Improve system scalability and maintainability through thoughtful design
• Write clean, testable code and contribute to internal documentation
• Mentor fellow engineers and help define best practices

Tech Stack

• Laravel (PHP 8+), Livewire, Alpine.js, TailwindCSS
• MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch
• REST APIs, Docker, CI/CD pipelines

• Small, focused cross-functional product squads
• Engineering, product, and design work closely together
• Agile processes with an emphasis on autonomy and fast iteration

✅ Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in backend or full-stack development
• Strong command of PHP and Laravel (bonus: Livewire or similar reactive tools)
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and modern development workflows
• Able to work independently and guide technical decisions
• Fluent in English
• EU work permit or open to visa sponsorship
