Senior DevOps - relocation Spain

This is an excellent opportunity with Projecting Group working directly with one of our global financial services clients. 

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of DevOps practices and cloud infrastructure for a high-impact, global project. This role offers the opportunity to work on a mission-critical system that provides real-time Profit & Loss (P&L) and risk metrics, supporting advanced trading and risk management capabilities. 

You will be a key contributor to a cutting-edge technology solution built for performance, scalability and usability, and work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams across software engineering, architecture, and business operations. 

🔧 Key Responsibilities 

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, deployment, and monitoring processes. 
• Architect and maintain scalable AWS cloud environments using best-in-class practices and tools. 
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to improve build and release processes. 
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform. 
• Optimise usage of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions for performance, cost-efficiency, and security. 
• Develop clear documentation including solution blueprints and architectural plans. 
• Monitor infrastructure and application performance to ensure high availability and reliability. 
• Partner with security teams to enforce compliance and secure cloud practices. 
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior DevOps engineers. 

✅ Requirements 

Qualifications & Experience: 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience. 
• 5+ years’ experience in DevOps or a related engineering role. 
• Proven expertise in AWS cloud services. 
• Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes. 
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible. 
• Skilled in scripting (e.g. Bash, Python). 
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools in cloud environments.
