Qualifications

• Having or pursuing a M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Proven experience in NLP and multimodal language models (e.g. LLMs, VLLMs).
• Proficiency in Python and common data science libraries (e.g. pandas, numpy, matplotlib, scikit-learn, scipy).
• Hands-on experience in deep learning frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow, HuggingFace Transformers, etc.).
• Solid understanding of document intelligence and information extraction techniques (e.g. NER, relation extraction, document classification).
• Experience in NLP tasks such as sentiment analysis, topic classification, etc.
• Familiarity with model training, evaluation, and fine-tuning techniques.
• Ability to design, implement and optimize MLOps pipelines.
• Hands-on experience deploying ML models as scalable web services (e.g. RESTful APIs, FastAPI, Flask).
• Strong research skills and ability to implement novel academic algorithms.

Would be Advantageous

• Experience with large-scale language models (GPT, LLaMA, Mistral, etc.) and related inference frameworks (vLLM, HuggingFace Accelerate, etc.),
• Familiarity with vector databases and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems,
• Knowledge of prompt engineering and instruction tuning approaches,
• Experience with Git, Jira, and Confluence for version control and documentation,
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes,
• Eagerness to follow state-of-the-art AI literature and contribute to publications.
• Prior work in Agile/Scrum-based development environment.
