About the Role:

We are looking for a highly analytical, results-driven Financial Data Analyst to join our Finance team. In this role, you will take full ownership of building, maintaining, and optimising the financial data framework that supports critical decision-making across the business.

You will play a key role in monitoring, analysing, and controlling the company’s fees, costs, and financial performance. This position requires a strong technical foundation in data analysis, reporting, and financial modelling, combined with a deep understanding of financial operations, market dynamics, and corporate banking processes. You will collaborate with stakeholders across departments and contribute to process improvement initiatives and product development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and drive the analysis of financial and business data to deliver actionable insights and recommendations
• Build, maintain, and optimise dashboards and reports (Power BI) to monitor costs, revenue streams, and operational efficiency
• Extract, clean, and structure data from internal systems using SQL, Power Query, Excel, and other tools
• Automate recurring reports and develop tools for ongoing cost monitoring using Excel macros, Power BI, or scripting
• Perform variance analysis to investigate unexpected shifts in costs and support vendor negotiations and cost control
• Lead scenario modelling to assess the financial impact of market changes, pricing structures, or vendor relationships
• Support broader finance initiatives, including payments analysis, cash flow forecasting, and financial reconciliations
• Lead or contribute to process improvement projects using Six Sigma or process engineering techniques
• Translate business needs into user stories, data requirements, and reporting solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product profitability, operational efficiency, and governance standards
• Provide expertise on lending products, trade finance, and cash management solutions, including pricing strategy and product development

Requirements:

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to extract insights from complex financial data
• Deep understanding of financial markets, trading, and corporate banking operations
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, treasury, or payments analytics—ideally within financial services, fintech, or brokerage
• Advanced Excel skills, including macros, pivot tables, and complex formulas
• Proven experience with Power BI and best practices in data visualisation
• Proficiency with SQL, Power Query, or similar data tools
• Experience working with back-office systems such as CRMs and accounting software
• Excellent attention to detail with strong time management and organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting insights clearly to non- technical stakeholders
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
