About the Role

We’re on the hunt for an experienced Laravel Tech Lead to join our fast-paced digital agency. You'll lead a team of developers, drive architectural decisions, and deliver scalable web applications for a wide range of clients. Your deep understanding of Laravel and its ecosystem, coupled with your ability to mentor and guide a team, will be essential to success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Laravel developers in a fast-paced agency setting
• Architect, design, and develop robust web applications using Laravel and modern PHP practices
• Oversee code quality, performance, and security best practices
• Collaborate closely with design, UX, and project management teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Participate in technical discovery, estimations, and proposals for new client projects
• Mentor and support junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of growth and technical excellence
• Maintain a forward-looking perspective on technical innovation, including an interest in integrating agentic AI capabilities into future projects

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on Laravel development experience
• 2+ years in a leadership or senior engineering role, ideally within an agency or consultancy
• Deep knowledge of modern PHP, Laravel ecosystem, RESTful APIs, and relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
• Experience with modern front-end technologies (e.g., Vue.js, React, or Alpine.js)
• Strong understanding of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with clients and stakeholders
• Proven ability to manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously

Nice to Have

• Exposure to or interest in agentic AI tools and architectures, with curiosity around how they could influence workflows and digital products
• Familiarity with headless CMSs, eCommerce platforms, or microservice architecture
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, DigitalOcean, or Laravel Vapor
