Backend Engineer (Python)

We are a fast-growing tech startup in the AI and browser innovation space where our headquarter is based in Singapore. Operating at the intersection of AI agents and web automation, we are building a next-generation browser that enables users to delegate complex online tasks end-to-end—privately and efficiently. We are currently looking for an experienced AI Backend Engineer proficient in Python to join our team.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement intelligent and highly available AI dialogue and RAG system architectures.
• Develop AI Agents and memory recall mechanisms.
• Build efficient hybrid retrieval systems that combine semantic search and keyword search for optimal results.
• Design and develop AI-related API interfaces, ensuring system stability and scalability.
• Continuously optimize RAG system performance indicators, including recall rate, accuracy, and response time.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of Python development experience with clear and standardized coding practices.
• 1+ years of experience working with AI, familiar with mainstream AI Agent frameworks and design concepts, capable of rapidly building AI applications.
• Familiar with LLM model call chains, tool usage, OpenAI conversation API standards, and prompt optimization.
• Experience with RAG technology, proficient in using vector databases, and understanding of vector retrieval principles.
• Familiar with LLM development frameworks such as LangChain and LlamaIndex, and able to quickly build AI applications.
• Proficient in Python web frameworks like FastAPI or Flask, with experience in designing and developing high-concurrency backend systems.
• Familiar with databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), caching systems (Redis), message queue technologies, and MongoDB.
• Familiar with microservices architecture and high-concurrency system design.
• Full-stack development experience and familiarity with frontend development is a plus.
• Experience contributing to AI open-source projects.
• Familiar with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes (K8s).
