Network & Security Engineer - Stuttgart Region

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading Utilities & Energy provider operating across the Baden-Württemberg region. As part of their continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their Network & OT Security Engineering team with a hands-on, knowledgeable professional.

You will be part of a collaborative team responsible for maintaining and enhancing network infrastructure and network security—with a specific focus on Operational Technology (OT) environments. This role combines routing & switching expertise, firewall administration, and exposure to WLAN technologies, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working across multiple layers of network architecture.

Your Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure (Routing & Switching)
• Support and optimize network security solutions, including firewalls (Checkpoint preferred, others welcome)
• Contribute to securing OT environments and critical operational systems
• Collaborate with internal IT teams and external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve network and security issues
• Assist with network monitoring, documentation, and compliance initiatives
• Support WLAN solutions across operational sites

Your Profile:

• Certification at CCNA or CCNP level (or equivalent practical experience)
• Strong knowledge of Routing & Switching (Cisco preferred)
• Experience with firewall administration (Checkpoint ideal, others such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc., are acceptable)
• Familiarity with WLAN networking is a strong advantage
• Fluent in German, with solid communication skills in English
