What you'll do

As a Server-side Developer, you’ll play a key role in developing and migrating critical backend services for our auction platforms.

• Design, build, and maintain JVM-based microservices that power inventory, listings, bidding, and payment flows.
• Lead the migration of Klaravik’s legacy backend systems into our scalable microservice architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, and Sweden.
• Tackle technical challenges hands-on, contribute to architectural decisions, and help define the future of our platform.
  
  

What you bring

• Strong experience with JVM languages (Scala, Java) or Kotlin for backend
• Affinity with or interest in functional programming
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP also welcome)
• Familiarity with microservices and distributed, event-driven systems
• Professional proficiency in English
  
  

Bonus points if you know

• Kotlin with Ktor and Arrow
• Queue systems like Service Bus, RabbitMQ, or OpenMQ
• Databases such as Azure SQL, Redis, or MongoDB
