Senior Embedded Software Engineer

What You’ll Work On
- Design, implement, and evaluate software using C
- Assist in preparing software design requirements and specifications per Abbott's design development process.
- Evaluate selected designs through testing and documentation, addressing moderate scope problems.
- Participate in software development, verification, and validation under guidance.
- Adhere to Design Control procedures for software development.
- Demonstrate proficiency in software implementation.
- Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, related engineering discipline or related experience
- +8 years of related experience
- Extensive knowledge of RFID technology
- Operating Systems & Kernel Development
- Deep proficiency in Linux kernel development and customization
- Strong knowledge of Android kernel modification and AOSP
- Extensive knowledge of Microchip microcontrollers (PIC, AVR, SAM series)
- Proficiency with Atmel microcontrollers and development tools
- Strong background with Espressif SoCs (ESP32, ESP8266 series)
- Understanding of peripheral interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, USB)
- Experience working in hardware
