3D Developer - JavaScript and Babylon.js

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and passionate 3D Developer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web-based 3D graphics development, with extensive experience in JavaScript and the Babylon.js framework. He will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing immersive and interactive 3D editor for our web application. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and collaborate with a dynamic team of engineers. It requires English level C1 at least.

Responsabilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain high-quality, performant 3D applications and experiences using Babylon.js and JavaScript.
  • Collaborate with designers and artists to integrate 3D models, textures, animations, and other assets into web applications.
  • Optimize 3D scenes and assets for efficient rendering and smooth performance across various devices and browsers (desktop and mobile).
  • Implement interactive features, user interfaces, and animations within 3D environments to enhance user engagement.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to 3D rendering, graphics, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical discussions, and maintain clean, well-documented code.
  • (Optional, if applicable) Integrate 3D experiences with backend systems and APIs.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Babylon.js, including scene setup, object manipulation, lighting, materials, and animations.
  • Solid understanding of 3D graphics concepts, including vectors, transformations, matrices, shaders (GLSL), and the graphics pipeline.
  • Experience with WebGL-based 3D development.
  • Familiarity with importing and optimizing 3D assets (e.g., GLTF/GLB, Blender, 3ds Max, Maya).
  • Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for web 3D applications (e.g., LOD, frustum culling, texture management).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • English level: C1

Bonus skills (highly Desired):

  • Experience with React.js (or other modern JavaScript frameworks like Vue.js or Angular) for building user interfaces and integrating with 3D scenes.
  • Familiarity with TypeScript.
  • Experience with other 3D frameworks (e.g., Three.js, PlayCanvas).
  • Knowledge of 3D modeling software (e.g., Blender).
