Interim CTO Role - Onsite UAE - 6 Months Extendable Contract

We’re partnering with a progressive government organization undergoing a major transformation and seeking a dynamic Interim Chief Technology Officer to lead and evolve its entire technology and operations landscape.

Role Overview

This newly created executive role offers the opportunity to architect and execute a full-scale technology transformation. The CTO will unify and oversee functions including product & design, development, data, cybersecurity, infrastructure, support, enterprise architecture, and more—impacting 90% of the organization’s operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute a future-ready technology vision
• Build scalable enterprise architecture and delivery models
• Lead digital product development, data & insights, QA, and infrastructure
• Drive operational efficiency, governance, and change management
• Champion a user-centric culture focused on service excellence
• Lead transformation of technical teams (~90 staff), hiring and restructuring as needed

What We’re Looking For

• 15+ years in technology leadership, with strong execution and transformation experience
• Deep technical acumen—equally comfortable with digital strategy and platform architecture
• Proven ability to lead across complex functions including security, data, and enterprise systems
• Experience navigating stakeholder environments and managing change at scale
• Public sector experience is a plus; private sector transformation experience is welcome
• Resilient, hands-on leader with strong communication and people development skills
