Senior Site Reliability Engineer - (1 year Contract)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver on a portfolio of Infrastructure, Platform Engineering projects and services enabling software delivery in the areas of development, test, architecture, program/ project management
• Design, deploy, maintain, and monitor all the platform systems within product domain focusing on reliability, availability, performance, and security
• Design, implement, manage our multi-cloud, hybrid and on-prem systems in relation to IaaS, PaaS and SaaS service offering.
• Collaborate with SWE engineering, quality assurance and other technical teams to design, build, evolve, and implement development, staging, and production infrastructure requirements
• Work with development teams to monitor and tune production systems in order to achieve optimum performance while adhering to budgetary constraints
• Implement and drive adoption of automated provisioning mechanism, within the concepts of Immutable Infrastructure, IaC and GitOps.
• Identify and develop tools and other solutions to increase the overall efficiency of administrating cloud native systems

Qualifications/Key Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field and at least 5 to 8 years’ experience in systems administration with the last 3+ years specializing in cloud-based environments
• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix administration and operating system concepts
• Sound knowledge of TPC/IP network fundamentals
• Coding experience in one or more languages
• Extensive experience with AWS including EC2, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, S3 and IM.
• Experience designing cloud-networks / systems and cloud operations including data security, observability, alerting, and notifications within an immutable infrastructure paradigm.
• Experience in supporting client-facing “software or data as a service” infrastructure with AWS, Kubernetes, containers, microservices and big data is must
• Experience in internet service architectures as VPN between public cloud and on-premise network, Load Balancers, CDNs and network gateways
