Network Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to manage and enhance our organization's network infrastructure in Jacksonville, Florida. This long-term contract position involves ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our network systems while collaborating with various teams to optimize performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Cisco environments and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and network design.

Responsibilities:
• Design, configure, and maintain complex network systems, ensuring they meet organizational needs.
• Administer and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls, including Meraki devices.
• Implement and maintain network security measures, such as firewall rules and VPN configurations.
• Monitor network performance and resolve issues to minimize downtime and optimize functionality.
• Provide advanced network support, including participating in an on-call rotation as needed.
• Create and update documentation for network configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational goals and ensure seamless connectivity.
• Extensive experience working with Cisco network systems, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, such as TCP/IP, VLANs, QoS, and other related technologies.
• Exceptional troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex network issues effectively.
• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
• Industry certifications like CCNA or CCNP are highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Meraki devices and their administration is a plus.
