Job Summary

The Blockchain Technical Specialist you will be responsible for the verification and validation of our Layer 1 blockchain protocol under development.

This role requires deep expertise in blockchain architecture, consensus mechanisms, and security practices to ensure the chain meets industry standards for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and auditing blockchain systems, with a focus on L1 Responsibilities :

  • Verification and Validation : Conduct thorough verification and validation of the L1 blockchain protocol, including consensus algorithms, smart contracts, and cryptographic implementations.
  • Architecture Review : Evaluate and refine the technical architecture of the L1 chain to ensure scalability, security, and efficiency.
  • Code Auditing : Perform detailed code reviews to identify vulnerabilities, bugs, or inefficiencies in the blockchain codebase.
  • Consensus Mechanism Validation : Validate the chosen consensus mechanism (e.g., PoW, PoS, or others) for correctness, security, and performance under various conditions.
  • Security Analysis : Assess the protocol for potential security risks, including 51% attacks, double-spending, and other vulnerabilities, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Performance Optimization : Collaborate with the development team to optimize the chains performance, including transaction throughput and latency.
  • Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture designs, validation reports, and audit findings.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with developers, researchers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on technical requirements and project goals.
  • Stay Updated : Keep abreast of the latest advancements in blockchain technology, including L1 and L2 solutions, to incorporate best practices into the project.

Required Qualifications

Education : Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Cryptography, or a related field.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in blockchain development or architecture, with at least 2 years focused on Layer 1 protocols.
  • Proven experience in verifying and validating blockchain systems, including consensus mechanisms and cryptographic protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Rust, Move, Go, Solidity, or C++ used in blockchain development.

Technical Skills

  • Deep understanding of blockchain fundamentals, including consensus algorithms (PoW, PoS, DPoS, BFT, etc.), cryptographic primitives (hashing, digital signatures, zero-knowledge proofs), and P2P networking.
  • Familiarity with L1 blockchain protocols such as Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana, or Polkadot.
  • Experience with smart contract development and auditing.
  • Knowledge of formal verification methods and tools for blockchain systems.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced Qualifications :
  • Experience with auditing or developing L1 blockchain protocols in production environments.
  • Familiarity with blockchain scalability solutions (e.g., sharding, rollups).
  • Knowledge of decentralized finance (DeFi) or cross-chain interoperability protocols.
  • Contributions to open-source blockchain projects or publications in the blockchain domain.
