Are you a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Manager with a passion for engineering and defence contracts? Ready to lead cutting-edge Fire Detection projects for navies worldwide?

At Johnson Controls, we are seeking a driven individual to manage Fire Detection projects on military vessels. You'll be at the forefront of ensuring our systems are delivered efficiently on time, and within budget while liaising directly with clients and internal teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

Project Oversight: Manage and deliver Fire Detection projects for military vessels.

Client Collaboration: Interpret technical specifications, contracts, and engage with clients.

Resource Coordination: Work with design teams, suppliers, and procurement specialists.

Logistics & Documentation: Organise shipments, handle documentation, and oversee delivery packages.

Budget & Reporting: Maintain financial responsibility, track costs, and provide billing forecasts.

Planning & Execution: Use MS Project and other tools to ensure smooth project progression.

Travel Opportunities: UK-based role with occasional travel.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience in Project Management
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with clients and teams
  • Ability to interpret complex technical specifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Full UK Driving Licence & UK Passport
  • Ability to obtain SC UK MOD Security Clearance

Desirable Skills

  • Project Management Qualification
  • HNC/HND in Engineering or related field
  • Marine Industry expertise & MoD contract experience
  • Background in engineering manufacturing
  • Familiarity with Fire Detection Systems
  • Experience using MS Project or planning tools
