Senior Golang Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Staff Systems Engineer with deep expertise in infrastructure and software systems to join a high-impact engineering team. This role is ideal for a hands-on technologist who thrives in building scalable, reliable systems and is passionate about enabling engineering excellence across the organization.

As a Staff Engineer, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of distributed systems and cloud-native applications. You’ll also help shape the engineering culture, tooling, and development practices across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust, scalable microservices using GoLang, with exposure to TypeScript/React.
• Contribute to system architecture and engineering strategy.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and cloud-native solutions using AWS.
• Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Artifactory).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve engineering processes and tools.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to other engineers.
• Monitor system performance using tools like Grafana and Prometheus (optional but beneficial).
• Leverage tools such as Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow for agile development and incident management.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of professional experience in software/system engineering.
• Strong expertise in GoLang.
• Experience with JavaScript, AWS, SQL, microservices, and system design.
• Proficiency in source control and CI/CD tools: GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Artifactory.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API development and deployment.
• Passion for improving engineering practices, systems, and processes.

Bonus/Preferred Skills

• Experience with React, C#/.NET, Azure, Node.js, Python, and shell scripting.
• Exposure to monitoring tools like Grafana and Prometheus.
• Familiarity with enterprise IT systems and large-scale engineering environments.
