GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Mercer Portugal has a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Graphic Designer to join our team in Lisbon.

As part of our dynamic in-house design team, you will be responsible for creating graphics for multi-channel communications and campaigns, developing branding and visual identities, working with typography, and producing visual content for various projects and Clients. The key focus for this role will be conceptualizing and producing designs across various mediums to effectively communicate our and our Clients’ messages, while engaging our audiences internally and externally.

This role would be perfect for a Junior Graphic Designer who can showcase technical and creative skills, but also looking for new challenges in a global organization that can offer excellent training and ongoing career development opportunities.

We will count on you to:

  • Collaborate with the consultants’ team to understand the projects’ objectives and requirements.
  • Conceptualize and create visually appealing designs for events and campaigns, including but not limited to, key visuals, brochures, social media graphics, website elements, and promotional materials.
  • Ability to develop engaging social and digital media content including still assets and reels.
  • Develop and maintain brand consistency across all design assets.
  • Produce high-quality, creative designs within specified timelines.
  • Present design concepts and ideas to stakeholders for feedback and approval.
  • Work closely with photographers, agency partners, printers and other vendors to ensure proper execution of designs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in graphic design.

What you need to have:

  • Design bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Solid experience and skills developing communications strategies, graphic design, branding development.
  • Strong proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, as well as the entire Office 365 suite, especially PowerPoint.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality, visually appealing designs.
  • Time management and organizational skills to prioritize and meet deadlines effectively.

  • Proved experience in corporate and/or advertising communications areas, producing creative communication strategies, designing different types of deliverables with high graphic impact, and measuring the impact of the implemented strategies.
  • Creativity and innovation in design concepts and execution.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and accept feedback gracefully.Strong proficiency level in both spoken and written English.
  • Proficiency in UI Tools such as Figma.
  • Proficiency in Video and Motion editing tools such as Adobe Premiere and AfterEffects.
  • Effective communication is a crucial aspect of this role, as it involves interacting with clients and colleagues from diverse backgrounds. The ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely, as well as comprehend and respond to complex information, is essential.
