Managing, securing, and optimizing enterprise network infrastructure including F5 load balancers, Cisco routing and switching, Palo Alto and Checkpoint firewalls, DNS services, and network monitoring with SolarWinds

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to administer and secure our enterprise network infrastructure. This role encompasses configuration and management of F5 load balancers, Cisco network devices, Palo Alto and Checkpoint firewalls, along with core network services such as DNS and monitoring via SolarWinds.

You will ensure high availability, security, and optimal performance of network services, collaborating closely with security, infrastructure, and application teams.

Key Responsibilities

Network Infrastructure Management

  • Configure, monitor, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and wireless devices
  • Manage and optimize F5 BIG-IP load balancers to ensure application availability and performance
  • Administer DNS services, ensuring reliability and proper resolution across the enterprise


Network Security Administration

  • Deploy, configure, and manage Palo Alto Networks and Checkpoint firewalls
  • Implement security policies, VPNs, and access control lists (ACLs) to protect network boundaries
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, collaborating with cybersecurity teams


Monitoring & Troubleshooting

  • Utilize SolarWinds and other network monitoring tools to track performance, availability, and faults
  • Conduct network troubleshooting and root cause analysis for connectivity, performance, and security issues
  • Perform capacity planning and network optimization based on monitoring insights


Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate network diagrams, configurations, and operational documentation
  • Ensure compliance with internal security standards and external regulatory requirements
  • Participate in change management and incident response processes


Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years experience in network administration with hands-on expertise in Cisco routing and switching
  • Proficiency configuring and managing F5 BIG-IP load balancers
  • Experience with Palo Alto Networks and Checkpoint firewall administration
  • Strong knowledge of DNS architecture and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools, preferably SolarWinds or equivalent


Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Palo Alto PCNSE, F5 Certified Administrator
  • Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible)
  • Understanding of network security frameworks and incident response best practices
  • Knowledge of cloud networking and hybrid network architectures
  • Experience with VPN technologies and network segmentation
