We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Project Manager to join a dynamic Cyber Defence team. This pivotal role will focus on managing and coordinating cyber defence initiatives, including penetration testing programs and regulatory engagements. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in IT project management, cybersecurity governance, and stakeholder engagement across both technical and non-technical audiences. This is a key position that bridges cybersecurity operations with compliance and governance, particularly in relation to evolving regulations such as DORA, NYDFS, and Threat-Led Penetration Testing (TLPT) requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule penetration testing across business units, aligning with operational and regulatory timelines.
  • Lead meetings with stakeholders to provide project updates, track dependencies, and resolve blockers.
  • Maintain clear communication on testing progress, risks, and future testing plans.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in cybersecurity regulations and ensure internal teams stay compliant.
  • Manage project tracking for all test requests, plans, and remediation actions.
  • Prepare clear, concise reports and governance packs for leadership and steering committees.
  • Support continuous improvement across security testing, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
  • Utilize existing tooling and dashboards for performance metrics and compliance reporting.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience managing cybersecurity or IT risk projects, ideally within regulated industries (e.g., banking, insurance).
  • Understanding of penetration testing, red teaming, and threat-led penetration testing (TLPT).
  • Familiarity with key regulatory frameworks such as DORA, NYDFS, and TLPT.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage both technical teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail and multitasking capability.
  • Proficiency in project tracking and reporting tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Excel, PowerPoint).
