Scholé is an AI-native learning platform for workforce upskilling, designed to help adult learners master AI and data science in real-world contexts. Founded by two machine learning PhDs from EPFL’s ML4ED lab, Scholé is already being piloted by leading organizations across sectors. Our adaptive system blends conversational AI, multimodal lesson delivery, and a dynamic knowledge graph to create personalized learning journeys aligned with each learner’s role, goals, and preferences.

We’re backed by the EPFL Ignition and InnoSuisse grants, and were winners of the 2024 Learning Engineering Tools Competition, the world’s largest edtech competition. Scholé is now moving from prototype to a production-ready tool for enterprise pilots.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking an immediate UI/UX Designer with experience in gamification design to elevate our current prototype and help us prepare for upcoming enterprise pilots this fall.

You’ll help us:

• Transform our prototype into a cohesive, production-grade experience across devices
• Refine the learner dashboard, lesson navigation, and AI tutor (Olé) interactions
• Design lightweight, professional gamification flows that celebrate learner progress and success (e.g. leveling, badges, milestones)
• Improve visual hierarchy, flow, and accessibility for busy professional users
• Conduct usability testing to identify and resolve pain points in the learning experience

What We Need

• A strong design portfolio showing clean, intuitive UX/UI for learning platforms, productivity tools, or enterprise apps
• Experience designing gamification systems that feel both encouraging and professional
• Familiarity with tools like Figma or similar
• Bonus: experience designing for adaptive learning or AI interfaces
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineers and technical founders
