With a focus on innovation, integrity, and collaboration, Tec Partners strives to support organizations that are making a positive difference in the world.
About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer with expertise in PHP and Laravel to join our client's dynamic team based in Norwich, with the flexibility of remote working. This is a pivotal role in a growing organization that is rebuilding its core data platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining a sophisticated system that handles large-scale data ingestion, processing, and visualization. You will play a key role in designing and implementing APIs for external integrations, ensuring the platform is scalable, reliable, and user-friendly. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven company that is committed to environmental innovation and data-driven solutions.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in full-stack web development, with proven experience in PHP and Laravel frameworks. A solid understanding of front-end technologies such as Vue.js is essential, along with familiarity with MySQL databases. Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Linux and AWS, is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate a strong problem-solving mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory if equivalent professional experience is demonstrated. Personal projects or contributions to open-source initiatives will be considered a plus, showcasing your passion for development and continuous learning.
Responsibilities
As a Full Stack Developer, your key responsibilities will include designing and developing scalable backend systems using Laravel and PHP, ensuring seamless data ingestion and processing capabilities. You will build intuitive front-end interfaces with Vue.js to display complex datasets in an accessible manner. Developing and maintaining robust APIs for external integrations will be a core aspect of your role. You will also be responsible for optimizing database performance with MySQL, implementing DevOps best practices on Linux and AWS environments, and maintaining version control through Git. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams—including data scientists, product managers, and UX/UI designers—you will help shape the technical roadmap of the platform. Additionally, you will be involved in writing comprehensive documentation, conducting code reviews, and mentoring junior developers. Your contributions will directly impact the company's ability to deliver innovative environmental monitoring solutions that are both reliable and scalable.
Benefits
Our client offers a competitive salary of up to 60,000 DOE, reflecting your experience and expertise. You will have the flexibility of remote working, allowing for a healthy work-life balance, with occasional travel to the Norfolk headquarters. The company promotes a collaborative and inclusive work environment, encouraging continuous learning and professional development. You will have access to modern tools and technologies, and opportunities to work on meaningful projects that contribute to environmental sustainability. Additional benefits may include health insurance, pension contributions, flexible working hours, and support for personal growth initiatives. This role provides a unique platform to develop your skills further within a forward-thinking organization committed to making a positive environmental impact.
Equal Opportunity
Our client is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and inclusion in the workplace. They are committed to creating an environment where all employees and applicants are treated fairly and with respect, regardless of race, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic protected by law. They believe that diverse teams foster innovative ideas and better solutions, and they actively promote a culture of equity and opportunity for all.
