A well-established, global financial services firm with over three decades of experience in listed derivatives clearing is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Information Technology. Operating across multiple continents with offices in Europe, North America, and Asia, the company is recognised for delivering tailored services to a diverse, international client base.

The Opportunity

This is a pivotal leadership role overseeing all aspects of I.T. across the organisation’s global operations. The successful candidate will manage a range of functions including desktop support, server and network engineering, internal software development, infrastructure upgrades, and cybersecurity initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of I.T. projects aligned with organisational strategy.
• Oversee internal software development and manage the full software development lifecycle.
• Maintain and enhance cybersecurity frameworks and disaster recovery planning.
• Drive infrastructure improvements with a focus on scalability, security, and performance.
• Mentor and guide I.T. team members, fostering technical excellence and collaboration.
• Ensure technology solutions are compliant with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, clients, auditors, and regulators on I.T.-related matters.
• Manage user access, end-of-day reporting processes, and workflow platforms such as ServiceNow.

Skills and Experience Required

• Proven experience leading complex I.T. operations in a regulated environment.
• Strong project and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Deep understanding of cybersecurity, enterprise risk, and business continuity frameworks.
• Knowledge of global infrastructure solutions including cloud, networking, and data centres.
• Experience in software development and technical leadership.
• Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
• Excellent communication skills, adaptable to both technical and non-technical audiences.
