Sr DevOps

It’s important to note that, in this instance, the role does not involve immediate hiring but rather serves as a part of a pipeline for future recruitments.

We're looking for a Sr. DevOps to join our remote multicultural team. As a Sr. DevOps, you will work with delivery teams to streamline software development, deployment, and operations processes. You will work on various tasks related to automation, continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), monitoring, infrastructure management, security compliance, and networking configuration.

What are the main responsibilities of this role?

Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, testing, and deployment of
applications.
Manage software releases by collaborating with the development team.
Set up and maintain development and testing environments.
Oversee infrastructure, including servers, databases, and networking.
Troubleshoot issues related to code deployments, infrastructure, and production
environments.
Monitor application and infrastructure performance, logging errors for resolution.
Implement and maintain security measures to protect data and infrastructure.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications are scalable, fault-tolerant,
and easy to deploy.
Automate manual tasks, such as backups, server configuration, and software updates.
Stay updated on the latest DevOps technologies, suggesting improvements for current
processes.
Maintain documentation and knowledge base articles to support team workflows.
Evaluate and recommend tools to align with technical and business needs.
Contribute to departmental growth by aligning with its goals, defining standards, and
mentoring other DevOps team members.
Mentor junior and semi-senior DevOps engineers in practices, tools, and capabilities.
Generate content such as internal documentation or external technical articles related to
DevOps.

Which skills and experience do we envision for this role?

5 years approx. of experience working in DevOps roles.
Experience working with AWS. We value experience/knowledge in Azure too.
+4 years of experience in containers.
+3 years experience working with Kubernetes, ECS, or similar.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python, bash, or typescript.
We value software experience from degree studies.
Advanced English skills, both written and spoken.
Experience working with agile methodologies and within an agile environment.
Experience with AI development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude
Having an AWS solution architect, Kubernetes certification or a similar certification from
another cloud provider would be valuable.
