You will be part of a team of Power BI developers supporting the current platform and developing a suite of Business Intelligence reporting. You will be working as part of the Data Decisioning Analytics Team, and support colleagues with short-term and long-term decision-making through Key Performance Indicators, reporting, and data analysis. The Power BI Analyst is responsible for the development and implementation of organizational reporting, analytics, and critical business intelligence initiatives that will contribute to strategic decision-making across the company.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience as a BI Analyst and proficient experience with Power BI
- Advanced knowledge of business intelligence and data warehouse environments, including system administration, database design, dimensional modelling, security, reporting, and analytics.
- Expertise in appropriate data visualization and modeling in Power BI to answer common or abstract business questions
- Broad range of knowledge from the Microsoft stack, such as SQL Server, Power BI, PowerShell, Power Apps, DAX, M (Power Query Language), SSIS, and Excel.
- Experience with SQL Server Data Modelling language (DML), such as T-SQL.
- Perform as an individual contributor to develop the company’s Power BI reporting.
- Create and improve existing enterprise reporting.
- Build out data sets that are efficiently modelled and support self-service BI.
- Utilize technology like Azure DevOps and Development pipelines for ALM.
- Experience building Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Continuously implement and adhere to the company data policy guidelines.
- Manage data for transactional sources and prepare effective reports.
- Strong understanding of DAX, M, and XMLA.
- Some experience in building automated reports and dashboards, and creating operational reports
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with varying levels of data literacy and technical knowledge ( from beginner to intermediate).
- Knowledge of business analysis, business process re-engineering, and information management practices and protocols.
