About The Role

“Hello. I’m Nicolas, Head of Product here at Next Gate Tech and I’m looking for an ambitious Machine Learning Engineer to come join my team where you will be responsible for researching, implementing and maintaining our models that handle petabytes of data on a monthly basis. This includes working on the latest technologies to build models that will extract insights from our financial datasets or build valuable features to assist our users automate their processes”

Responsibilities include

• Apply critical thinking to improve and scale our SaaS product through advanced machine learning techniques
• Leverage expertise in large datasets to conduct cutting-edge research and develop data-driven features for our customers
• Employ an agile approach to create, design, build, and deploy solutions, with rigorous testing, while collaborating with NGT’s cross-functional teams
• Actively contribute to the company’s and team’s culture of continuous growth by collaborating, designing our technology and sharing new insights to build our solution
  
  

Qualifications

• Master’s/ PhD degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field
• A minimum of 1 year of experience is required, with 3-7 years of experience in a large scale environment, designing and architecturing of ML systems and workflows
• Experience in tackling business challenges by translating them into machine learning and optimization problems, selecting the appropriate features, model structures, and optimization constraints, and ultimately delivering measurable business impact.
• Strong experience in scientific computing using Python with Scikit-Learn & PyTorch or Tensorflow
• Familiarity with modern software development practices, including version control, continuous integration, and other agile methodologies
• Strong interest in staying informed about current technologies, trends, and industry best practices, with the ability to identify those that should be implemented at NGT.
