As we continue to push the boundaries of fashion tech, we’re seeking a Backend Engineer who excels at building robust, scalable systems and can architect complex solutions to support our rapidly growing platform.

What You’ll Do

Architect & Own the Backend: Take full ownership of the backend architecture, development, and maintenance of high-performance services using FastAPI. Be proactive and independent, eliminating the need for close supervision or constant managerial oversight.

Database Engineering: Design, optimize, and maintain complex PostgreSQL schemas independently; manage and integrate MongoDB and Supabase as necessary without requiring direction.

API & Security Leadership: Develop secure RESTful APIs, implement JWT token-based authentication, and directly collaborate with frontend and third-party services to ensure seamless integration.

CI/CD Management: Independently set up, optimize, and manage CI/CD pipelines, ensuring rapid and reliable deployments without needing supervision.

Team Collaboration: Actively collaborate with ML and Frontend teams, fully understanding their requirements and proactively supporting integrated solutions. Take initiative to understand cross-team workflows and dependencies.

Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and implement system enhancements, adopting new technologies to boost performance, scalability, and reliability.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 3 years of backend development experience in production environments,

ideally in startup or dynamic, rapidly evolving settings.

Technical Expertise:

- Python & FastAPI: Expert-level proficiency and hands-on experience.

- Database Design: Strong experience independently designing and maintaining complex PostgreSQL schemas; familiarity with MongoDB and Supabase.

- ORM & Data Validation: Proficient in SQLAlchemy and Pydantic for robust, type-safe data models.

- Security & Authentication: Demonstrated expertise in implementing JWT token-based authentication and security best practices.

- CI/CD: Proven ability to build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines independently.

Soft Skills:

- Exceptional problem-solving skills and clear, proactive communication.

- Self-starter who demonstrates initiative and ownership, with proven collaboration skills across diverse teams.

- Comfortable operating independently without extensive managerial oversight.

Education:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
