Job Title: Junior Data Scientist

Location: London, UK (Hybrid Working)

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000

We’re on the lookout for a Junior Data Scientist to bring fresh thinking, support exciting projects, and help turn complex data into clear, actionable insights.


About the Role:

  • Analyse and Discover: Dive into vast datasets to uncover trends and patterns that inform strategic decisions.
  • Model Building: Assist in developing machine learning models to forecast trends, enhance processes, and support future planning.
  • Develop Smart Solutions: Build and refine algorithms and tools that boost efficiency and drive informed decision-making across our business.
  • Collaborate and Contribute: Work closely with colleagues in product, operations, and technology to ensure data initiatives align with our business goals.
  • Visualise Impact: Craft and maintain dashboards and data visualisations that communicate insights to both technical and non-technical teams.


What You’ll Need:

  • A degree in a STEM field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering) from a Russell Group university.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis, manipulation, and model building.
  • A good understanding of machine learning principles, with experience in predictive modelling techniques.
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools (such as Tableau or Power BI) to present insights effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex data findings in a straightforward way.


Desirable Skills:

  • Experience or interest in advanced data science areas such as natural language processing (NLP), large language models (LLMs), or time series forecasting.
  • Skills in using libraries like Pandas and NumPy
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Azure
  • Experience in computer vision and ML techniques
