Your Role's Mission

At Pelico, we’re on a mission to help industrial companies navigate complexity and unlock their full operational potential. As a Lead Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in shaping our platform’s architecture and empowering our tech teams to scale with excellence.

This is a high-impact, cross-functional role ideal for an experienced engineer ready to lead by example and build solutions that are as elegant as they are robust.

By mentoring engineers, improving processes, and contributing to a robust engineering culture, the Lead Software Engineer directly impacts Pelico’s ability to scale and innovate in the manufacturing intelligence space.

Main responsibilities

• Build Scalable & Reliable Architecture
• Design and implement scalable, maintainable backend or frontend systems
• Drive architectural decisions that support long-term business growth
• Ensure clean code, automated testing, and CI/CD best practices
• Optimize APIs, data models, and microservices for performance
• Lead Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with Product Managers to align business goals and technical feasibility
• Collaborate with DevOps to ensure stability and efficient deployments
• Facilitate technical discussions and drive knowledge-sharing across teams
• Champion System Performance & Reliability
• Continuously improve system performance, observability, and fault tolerance
• Lead technical refactoring efforts and reduce legacy risks
• Embed security and compliance into our development practices
• Mentor & Lead Engineering Teams
• Act as a mentor and technical reference for engineers
• Set high standards for code quality, documentation, and development practices
• Keep teams focused, motivated, and aligned with product goals
• Drive Team Growth & Talent Development
• Take part in recruiting top talent and leading technical interviews
• Contribute to onboarding and continuous learning programs

📍 Location

Based in Paris, with English as the working language. We offer a hybrid work model.

Technical Expertise

• Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript (frontend) or Python, Flask, Kotlin, Java (backend)
• Experience designing scalable, high-performance architectures
• Solid knowledge of relational databases, API design, and distributed systems
• Proven ability to optimize performance and ensure system reliability
