Senior Application Developer

Ready to take your software skills to new heights? At KUBO, we are looking for a Senior Fullstack Developer to help our client transform critical 24/7 crew tracking software into a modern, cloud-based solution on AWS.

What you will do

• Build and improve user applications that run 24/7.
• Modernize and migrate a large on‑premises system to AWS.
• Upgrade the tech stack and architecture.
• Work in a collaborative team using pair‑ and mob‑programming.
• Experiment with new tools and approaches to create better solutions.

What you bring

• Several years of experience with software development, and strong experience with Java, Python, Spring Boot, and Linux.
• Understanding of complex software systems; Eclipse RCP is a plus.
• Deep knowledge in at least one area such as Kubernetes, cloud deployment, AWS, AI, or DevSecOps.

We are looking for someone curious and proactive, who enjoys asking questions and connecting with people across teams. You are comfortable reaching out to colleagues, sharing ideas, and finding solutions together. Patience and interest in long‑term system development are important, as you will work with both new technologies and existing legacy systems. Good communication skills in English, openness to feedback, and a collaborative mindset are key to succeeding in this role.

Practical details

• Location: Gothenburg
• Work model: Hybrid (3+ days in the office)
• Contract: Initial consultant contract with the client through KUBO, with the option to move internal later.
• Salary: Based on experience
