A leading financial institution in Doha is conducting a confidential search for a visionary Head of IT to spearhead its technology strategy and transformation initiatives. This is a pivotal leadership role for a seasoned professional with deep regional experience and a strong track record in Islamic banking and core banking system implementations.

Role Overview

As Head of IT, you will:

• Lead the bank’s IT strategy, governance, and infrastructure modernization
• Oversee end-to-end implementation of core banking systems and digital platforms
• Drive innovation in Islamic banking technology solutions
• Ensure regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, and operational resilience
• Collaborate with executive leadership to align technology with business goals

Ideal Candidate Profile

We’re seeking someone who brings:

• Minimum 18 years of progressive IT leadership experience in the banking sector
• Proven success in implementing Islamic banking platforms and core banking systems (e.g., Temenos, Finacle, or similar)
• Strong understanding of GCC banking regulations and regional market dynamics
• Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capabilities
• Exceptional stakeholder management and vendor negotiation skills
