The Role
We're seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer to support defence-oriented technology deployments and cutting-edge platform integrations. This role focuses on designing, deploying, and optimising secure cloud environments, while integrating novel technologies into production systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Bicep, Terraform, and ARM templates.
- Integrate emerging technologies (e.g., mobile platforms, geospatial analytics, zero-trust architectures) into hybrid environments.
- Collaborate with developers to align deployment pipelines with operational and security requirements.
- Optimise performance, scalability, and cost through monitoring and capacity planning.
- Implement and manage security controls aligned with NIST 800-53, CMMC, or FedRAMP frameworks.
- Configure and maintain Cloudflare services including DNS, WAF, Zero Trust Access, and CDN.
- Support mobile device management platforms (e.g., Intune, Jamf, Kandji) and enforce endpoint policies.
- Liaise with third-party vendors and defence partners to ensure integration and delivery standards.
- Document infrastructure architecture and procedures for audit readiness and knowledge transfer.
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related events.
What You’ll Need
- 3+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering with a focus on Azure.
- Proficiency in IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, Pulumi).
- Experience with Cloudflare services and Zero Trust configurations.
- Strong networking knowledge (VPNs, firewalls, routing, virtual networks).
- Familiarity with MDM platforms and endpoint policy enforcement.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolchains (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
- Proficiency in container orchestration (Kubernetes, AKS, Docker Swarm).
- Solid understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases and big data environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in agile teams.
- Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Why Join Us?
- Shape mission-driven systems architecture supporting national security programs.
- Work with a team that values trust, innovation, and long-term consulting partnerships.
- Long-term engagement with flexibility and support from technical peers.
