Join Elisa’s Data & AI Team as a Data Engineer!
At Elisa, our Data & AI function is dedicated to developing large-scale data and AI applications to meet various business needs. You would be joining our data platform team, which is responsible for delivering data pipelines, data warehouse, tools & best practices around data and AI area for organization. We value data and are committed to enhancing our customers' experiences in their everyday lives.
The Role
We are looking for passionate Data Engineers to join our Data Platforms team on our cloudification journey. Your main focus will be designing and implementing data pipelines between data-intensive systems and participate developing solutions for data handling and machine learning. This role requires strong data integration skills and solid coding experience.

We have a hybrid work model in place, where the expectation is that Elisians will work on average three days a week at the office.

What You'll Do
- Design and implement data pipelines.
- Engineer solutions for data handling and machine learning.
- Continuously improve and optimize data operations.
- A collaborative environment where you'll never be alone.

- Flexibility to work from any Elisa office in Finland, with occasional travel to our HQ in Pasila, Helsinki.
- Solid experience with modern software development patterns, including distributed computing and data processing pipelines.
- Proficiency in Python; knowledge of other programming languages is a plus.
- Practical development experience in some major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience is a big advantage.
- Ability to build infrastructure and components using best practices (e.g., IaC with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines).
- Knowledge of data processing frameworks like GCP Dataflow (Apache Beam), Apache Spark, or Apache Flink.
- Willingness to work with technologies such as GCP Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow), Apache Kafka, and Kubernetes.
- Enjoy writing maintainable and well-tested code.
- Good communication skills and fluency in English.
- Previous experience in team leadership or supervisory roles is also considered an asset.
