Mid Full Stack Engineer

Our client, a world-leading quantitative trading firm, is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer with expertise in modern object-oriented languages (such as C#, Java etc) and experience in building high-performance tools and products for trading teams. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of finance and technology, contributing to the development of cutting-edge systems that directly support trading and quantitative research operations.

In this role, you will be part of a highly skilled engineering team, collaborating closely with traders, quants, and other front-office stakeholders. You'll be responsible for designing and delivering robust, scalable, and low-latency applications that power critical trading workflows. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, a passion for performance optimisation, and a strong understanding of distributed systems and modern development practices.

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications that support trading and research workflows.
• Build scalable, high-performance systems using modern object-oriented languages such as C# or Java.
• Develop and integrate with distributed systems and event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka).
• Contribute to both backend and frontend development; experience with Angular or similar frameworks is a plus.
• Collaborate directly with traders and quants to gather requirements and deliver tailored, mission-critical solutions.

• 6+ years of professional software development experience with strong object-oriented design skills.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., C#, Java).
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, messaging frameworks (e.g., Kafka), and concurrent programming.
• Familiarity with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
• Experience working in a client-facing or front-office environment, ideally within financial services.
