Site Reliability Engineer – Cyber Security Biz Ops

Location: Dublin South ( Hybrid 3 days onsite)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join the Cyber Security Services Biz Ops team. This role is critical to ensuring production readiness across our cybersecurity platforms. You will work closely with software development teams to support, optimize, and scale critical systems using standard engineering principles, automation, and a proactive mindset.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong balance of hands-on production support (React-based systems) and DevOps/automation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a production readiness steward, collaborating with developers to design and support secure, reliable, and scalable technology services.
• Ensure key operational metrics—availability, performance, capacity, monitoring, and automated deployment—are integrated into the software delivery lifecycle.
• Own and enhance production support for applications with a focus on triage, root cause analysis, and long-term stability.
• Drive a "shift-left" approach by embedding Biz Ops practices early in the development process.
• Implement and support self-healing systems, automation frameworks, and deployment pipelines.
• Facilitate proactive risk identification and mitigation, ensuring compliance across environments.
• Work across internal teams and external stakeholders to streamline support, improve communication, and standardize operations.
• Provide feedback to product and engineering teams to continuously improve user experience and system resilience.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• 80% experience in production support and troubleshooting for React-based applications.
• 20% experience in DevOps and automation, with exposure to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, or configuration management.
• Hands-on experience with observability tools and practices (e.g., monitoring, alerting, logging).
• Strong understanding of SRE principles, including service-level indicators (SLIs), objectives (SLOs), and agreements (SLAs).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
• Comfortable working in Agile and DevOps-oriented environments.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in cybersecurity or highly regulated industries is advantageous.
• Knowledge of risk management, compliance frameworks, or security operations is a plus.
