About The Role

“Hello, I’m Nicolas Roland, Head of Application Engineering here at Next Gate Tech. I’m looking for an ambitious Quantitative Developer to come join my team where you will be responsible for designing and maintaining the models and methodologies that compose our solution. This includes tackling analytical challenges where you will combine quantitative skills and knowledge about financial markets. I look forward to learning more about you!”

Responsibilities include

• Designing and implementing models and methodologies to extract Insights and Analytics
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand our business needs and develop solutions, taking responsibility of the full software development life cycle
• Building highly scalable, secure, reliable and fault tolerant distributed systems
• Participating in design and code review sessions as appropriate, to ensure the quality of work delivered by self and teammates are in accordance with development standards
  
  

Qualifications

• At least 2-3 years of experience in a financial institution, with a solid understanding of financial markets & instruments
• Proven academic success in mathematics, statistics, physics, or another quantitative discipline
• Proficiency in Probability & Statistics (e.g. time-series analysis, machine learning, pattern recognition)
• A high degree of technical aptitude linked to data analytics, such as Python (NumPy, Pandas), and SQL
• Proven skills in at least one programming language (like C, C++, Java, or Python)
