Sr Program Manager, Inbound Planning

Description

Amazon is seeking an experienced Program Manager with a strong delivery record, senior leadership experience and an analytical mindset to manage strategic and cross-functional supply chain projects.

Our team, Inbound Network Planning, drives both strategic and tactical initiatives to optimize the flow of billions of units annually—from our vendors and sellers to Amazon Fulfillment Centers. We are responsible for key inbound fulfillment decisions, including site launches, network design, financial viability, and overall impact on network dynamics.

The Senior Program Manager will lead initiatives in two key areas. First, they will own the improvement of inbound network efficiency and support growth across South Europe (France, Italy, Spain), by partnering with stakeholder teams such as Operations, Engineering, Real Estate, Transportation, and Finance. Second, they will own the overall EU inbound strategy for the Peak holiday season.

This high-visibility role requires working closely with business teams across the company and around the world to prioritize initiatives that support both new programs and existing operations. It is ideal for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and is passionate about delivering scalable, data-driven solutions in a global supply chain context.

Key job responsibilities

  • Own the tactical plan for the inbound network, ensuring on-time delivery and reliability. Provide mid- to long-term forecasts on volumes and capacity to support financial, operational, transportation, and labor planning. Escalate critical deviations in inputs to maintain adherence to the plan.
  • Lead the highly visible and complex inbound strategy for the Christmas holiday season. Drive strategic change and secure alignment with senior leadership across the organization.
  • Analyze future network programs and designs to assess their impact on capacity, cost, speed, and reliability. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and align on business cases and recommendations.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in program or project management
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • Experience leading process improvements
  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
  • Master's degree
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
