Data science internship: dashboard creation and automation

Introduction

In this role, you will join the SAP Security team within ASML’s Risk and Business Assurance & Security (RBA&S) organization, with a specialized focus on data analytics. Our team is at the forefront of protecting ASML’s critical SAP environments - systems that underpin our global operations and house some of our most sensitive and strategic data. The RBA&S organization is responsible for ensuring that ASML operates securely, ethically, and in compliance with global standards.

Your assignment

We are seeking a motivated intern to join our SAP security 2nd line team and assist in designing, developing and automating dashboards & analytics solutions for SAP security. This role will involve leveraging data science techniques, visualization tools, and automation to enhance real-time security insight and compliance reporting. You will gain hands-on experience with SAP security data and enterprise analytics, whilst working alongside experts in the field.

Key deliverables include:

• Design and develop dashboards to visualize SAP application security postures.
• Propose for automating data extraction & reporting from information source systems.
• Apply data analytics & machine leaning (if applicable) for traffic lights and heatmaps.
• Collaborate with SAP security teams to understand data requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
• Optimize dashboard performance for real-time monitoring and historical trend analysis.
• Document processes related to data pipelines, dashboard logic and automation workflows.
  
  

This is a master apprentice internship for minimum 6 months, minimum 5 days per week (3 days on-site). The start date of this internship is as soon as possible.

Your profile

To be a match for this internship, you:

• Have a background in data science, or related.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of IT application security concepts, and are interested in the knowledge of cybersecurity principles
• Proficiency in visualization tools and have an understanding of machine learning.
• Have strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Have the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  
  

Other requirements you need to meet

• You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;
• You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you ‘re currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.
• If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
