Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and clean architecture.
• Implement UI components and interactions using Jetpack Compose.
• Integrate and work with GraphQL APIs and other data sources.
• Apply best practices for Kotlin Coroutines and Flow to manage asynchronous programming.
• Ensure high-quality code through unit and instrumental testing.
• Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality features.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements (e.g., GitLab CI/CD, Bitrise).
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and tools in Android development, proactively suggesting innovative solutions.

Must-have Skills (4+ years of experience)

• Native Android Development: 4+ years of professional experience.
• Kotlin Expertise: Hands-on experience with Kotlin Coroutines and Flow.
• Jetpack Compose: Solid experience building UIs with Compose.
• System & API Design: Familiarity with data structures, system design, design patterns, and API designs.
• Testing: Experience with unit and instrumental testing.
• English Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience working with GraphQL.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab CI/CD or Bitrise.
• A passion for news and the creativity to introduce new ideas and technologies.
• Background in journalism.
