Python AI engineer

Job Overview:

This is a Python AI engineer role with an emphasis on production-grade coding and algorithm design / development capabilities for unstructured data intake utilizing AI / Cloud services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, production-ready solutions using Python and AI/ML models.
• Build and optimize algorithms to process and analyze unstructured data (text, image, etc.).
• Integrate and leverage Generative AI frameworks (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face, Vertex AI).
• Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices to ensure robust and maintainable code.
• Ensure strong observability through logging, metrics, and monitoring tools to support production reliability.
• Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, and cloud engineers to bring AI prototypes into full-scale deployments.
• Optimize data pipelines and model inference performance in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in Python with hands-on experience in production-grade development.
• Solid experience in Generative AI, LLMs, or NLP pipelines.
• Expertise in algorithm design, particularly for handling unstructured data.
• Familiarity with cloud-native AI tools and services (AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI, Azure ML).
• Deep understanding and practical application of TDD, unit testing, and CI/CD workflows.
• Good knowledge of observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Datadog).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a cross-functional team.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical solutions to stakeholders.
