Copilot Agent Developer

We are looking for an innovative and detail-oriented Copilot Agent Developer to join our clients team focused on next-generation automation and intelligent systems. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy AI agents leveraging Microsoft Copilot Studio to streamline workflows, improve user engagement and enable seamless interaction with business platforms. This position requires strong collaboration across product, engineering and design teams to bring intelligent agent solutions to life in real-world enterprise environments.

Primary Responsibilities

AI Agent Design & Development

• Build robust, goal-oriented AI agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into conversational and task-oriented logic.
• Define prompts, sequences, actions, and orchestrated workflows tailored to specific use cases.
• Extend native functionality by developing custom APIs, integrations, and plugins.

Integration & Automation

• Connect AI agents with Microsoft 365, Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps), Azure, and other enterprise systems.
• Enable agents to retrieve, interpret, and act on data from various sources including databases and service platforms.

Testing & Iteration

• Perform thorough testing across unit, integration, and UAT levels.
• Optimize agent behavior based on performance data, feedback, and telemetry insights.
• Implement robust fallback strategies, error handling, and secure data operations.

Team Collaboration & Documentation

• Partner with UX teams to ensure fluid conversational experiences and user engagement.
• Coordinate with data engineering and infrastructure teams for secure, scalable deployment.
• Maintain clear and thorough documentation covering agent architecture, usage guidelines, and change history.

Security, Compliance & Responsible AI

• Ensure solutions meet enterprise-grade data security and compliance standards.
• Incorporate responsible AI practices such as transparency, fairness, and explainability.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Information Technology, or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).

Professional Experience

• Minimum 3 years in software development, automation, or related technical roles.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience building agents with Microsoft Copilot Studio or similar tools like Power Virtual Agents.
• Demonstrated success in creating AI-driven bots or intelligent digital assistants.

Technical Expertise

• Strong grasp of Microsoft Power Platform, especially Power Automate and Power Apps.
• Experience developing REST APIs, plugins, and custom connectors.
• Working knowledge of large language models (LLMs), workflow orchestration, prompt tuning, and task automation.
• Familiarity with services like Azure Cognitive Services and OpenAI APIs (preferred).
• Understanding of scripting/markup languages such as Power Fx, JSON, JavaScript/TypeScript is a plus.
