Head of Information Security

About the Position:

We are recruiting an experienced Head of Information Security to lead the cybersecurity function for a reputable organization in the UAE. This executive-level position is responsible for defining and implementing the overall information security strategy, ensuring alignment with global standards and local regulatory requirements. The role requires strong leadership in managing risk, compliance, and the protection of digital assets across the organization.

Key Accountabilities:

• Develop and lead the enterprise-wide information security strategy and governance framework.
• Oversee the Security Operations Center (SOC), incident response, and digital forensics.
• Implement secure infrastructure, network protection, and endpoint defense solutions.
• Establish and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
• Lead cybersecurity awareness, training programs, and security culture initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with national cyber laws and international data privacy regulations.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, penetration tests, and ethical hacking exercises.
• Manage third-party vendors and ensure alignment with security requirements.
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning from a security perspective.

Expected Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• Professional certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, regulations, and standards.

Experience and Skill Set:

• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in information security.
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing enterprise-level cybersecurity programs.
• Proven experience in leading cloud security, data privacy, and incident response strategies.
• Advanced knowledge of threat detection, risk management, and secure system architecture.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Bilingual proficiency in English required; Arabic is an advantage.
