Embedded Software Engineer

TXT e-Swiss SA, part of TXT Group, is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join our team in Zurich, working fully on-site at the client’s premises. You will contribute to the development of high-performance software solutions for mission-critical, real-time embedded systems in the Defence and Aerospace sector.

Role Overview:

The new TXTer will join the embedded software development team of a key Defence industry client, participating in the design, development, and integration of embedded solutions for critical Defence platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop high-performance embedded software for real-time systems used in radar, optics, and tracking platforms.
• Integrate and commission software within complex embedded environments, ensuring system reliability and performance.
• Enhance and maintain internal libraries to improve code modularity and quality across projects.
• Lead and actively participate in code reviews.
  
  
  

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with C and Ada programming, focused on high-performance, real-time embedded systems in safety-critical aerospace and defence applications.
• Proficiency in C++ and Qt for developing responsive embedded GUIs, including real-time rendering using C++/QML.
• Focus on efficient, reliable, and well-tested code.
  
  
  

Optional Skills:

• Experience contributing to structured code reviews.
• Strong attention to software quality and engineering standards.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or Aeronautical Engineering.
• Professional experience: 3+ years (Middle) or 6+ years (Senior) in embedded software development.
• Team-oriented mindset and strong collaboration skills.
